Post - What the project means/symbolises

Ironically, I would like to finally cover what this game is about I think the idea of the game or what it is supposed to signify or represent may and almost certainly will be super difficult to understand without explanation.

The game is jokingly based on an experience that I and Jordan went through whilst working on Games AI. We jokingly called the way that the programming was set out "Alanland" so think of this as the "Alanland Simulator". The idea of the game is that you try to gather points whilst dealing with sudden bursts of insane force that crash you into obstacles, throw you outside of the area in which you can get points and is generally very frustrating.

The powers up exist to make the game easier and lessen the strain and frustration of "Alanland" removing obstacles, the force that is randomly pushing you about, making you faster so you can resist the force better, and doubling your points so you can earn points faster.

It's an allegory for the struggles of how I and he felt coding in it as you would often make a load of progress just to be completely stumped by something because of how bizarre and unusual the way the coding was handled from our perspectives at the time.

The game essentially was to mirror our experience working in unity where most of the time it felt like the system is fighting against you but unity as a system forces it to use its rules because the only path is forward. simply put the game is fundamentally designed to frustrate you and you have no alternative than to press on. the best example I could come up with that emulates this in real life is being put on hold when on the phone when talking to someone on an important phone call and are forced to continuously listen to the repeating holding music and every 5 min it reminds you that you are on hold just to put u back in the loop with the hold music. - Jordan's thoughts slightly proofread by Gabriel. (exact wording will be attached as a picture)
